Twilight Circus

As sun moves west, day grows dim
Quick find a seat upon the sand
tonight's performance is about to start
chirpy crickets and brassy cicadas ..
                         .. start up the band.

Here come the star of twilight, Sir Bat
showing off his aerialbatic dance
barnstorming through long limbed trees
pretending to be oblivious to his audience's ..
                                    .. admiring glance

the floppy footed rabbit clowns around
the coyote choir sings on a distant height
moths prance high around the bonfire
while below elephantine toads parade in ..
                                             ..moon light
