Twice-A-Year Chore

I woke up at 6
But it really was 5;
Now it’s 5
But it really is 4.
Every time that we change
All the clocks, I know I’ve
Been confused
By this twice-a-year chore.

It was dark when I woke;
Now it’s still very light
And might be
When I’m ready for bed.
Yet I follow the rules
Though I know that I might
Never get this
All straight in my head.

My husband keeps it straight for me; I do not worry myself about it at all. Luckily I cannot see the clock in my car.

Dja see that the US Senate just passed 'permanent daylight savings time' in a surprise vote today. Looks like you're gonna get your wish. Now wish for an end to the Ukraine invasion, Ilene. Let's have a Purim miracle for our times! :) gw

wow, everyone is so down on it. I think I might be the only one who appreciates that extra hour of light in the summer. I am a night owl, so I am sure early birds must hate daylight saving time. Fall is much nicer, when we get to "fall back" instead of spring forward!!

Hawai'i does not participate is such nonsense, but I still had to re-set my computer clock! What humans do to make their life interesting! Aloha!

My clocks show different times...those that are automatic and those that depend on me. Confusing. I have no idea what time it is. I got up this morning an hour later than I usually do...or did I? What's wrong with God's time???? I am still functioning on the same time I did yesterday; only the light is confusing me.

good one Ilene, I don't know why they continue with it as it was originally for farmers but of course now with technology and better lighting they can work the fields at any time of day or night. i always feel a little disorientated when the clocks change, hugs Jan xx
