Twice a Ten
Twice A TEN
By Rick Rucker
Last night, we were together for some time,
A brief interlude, yet still Sublime,
We both have issues to resolve,
Before our living arrangements can evolve.
That we will, a foregone conclusion,
We love each other, to all others’ exclusion,
When not with her, I go through the motion,
But my Heart is tossed like a tiny boat, on the Ocean!
Before I see her, I may have troubles,
But when we meet, they disappear, like bubbles,
Any troubles cannot stand,
Against me when I hold her Hand!
I have never met anyone like her before,
When I’m with her, my feet don’t touch the floor.
I hope to make her at least as happy,
As I am, but she needn’t write verses sappy!
That is what I do,
What my Love has forced me to!
I cannot keep my Love inside,
Her Love has overfilled me with Pride!
I still can’t believe it is my Fate,
To have the Love of this glorious Mate!
I am the luckiest of Men,
To have the Love of a woman, twice a “TEN!”
