TWENTY YEARS ON
TWENTY YEARS ON
My life began on that warm summer day,
Just at the moment you came into view.
I knew at first sight that you were just right
And that we’d be together come what may.
I didn’t rush in like fools often will;
I feared if I did I’d scare you away.
I bided my time before I approached,
Then carefully planning what I would say,
I introduced myself shyly to you.
That you were just right, I knew at first sight.
The proof? We are still together today
