'twas Christmas Eve
The stockings were hung
with the greatest of love,
in the hope that St. Nick
would appear from above
While we slept a good sleep
he came with our toys,
each one placed just so
for us good girls and boys
He went from house to house
and left presents for all--
from the tiniest of tiny
to the tallest of tall
With the blink of an eye
he kept going strong,
delivering to everyone
and getting nothing wrong
He sat down for a minute
to take a quick break,
and cure that rumbling stomach
with a small sliver of cake
Then he made quick work
with his job's delight,
he was smiling and singing
cruising at the speed of light
While we didn't hear a thing
he did it all in a night,
that jolly man and his reindeer
then just flew out of sight
We woke from our sleep
seeing what he had done
our dreams have been filled...
St. Nick makes every Christmas fun!
