TV Value

Excitement prevails,
Who is the next nut wick to go to jail?
Liars and cheats,
Oh, what a treat!
Is it just my surprise,
That politicians lie?
Occasionally,
Just to keep the beat,
And offer another treat.
Murders for sale!
The more gruesome,
The better the tale!
Twist the knob,
Turn the channel,
Watch the news,
Like so many cattle!
Perhaps a few war-torn survivors,
Covered in blood,
Tearing their clothes.
Each channel becomes,
A more gruesome show.
We used to watch the news,
To keep up with world events.
Newscasters are lost!
It's become a show,
It's all about ratings you know!
