Notes About The Poem

Turning Colder

Familiar storm - stampeding, impeding,
drawing in colder days, lighting up
monotone skies, winterizing holiday rise.

Thoughts of yesteryear - their existence
unclear, relegating nonsensical notions,
subjugating my mind - celebrating life.

This poem grabbed me up and ran so fast, I missed the context the first time, so I had to slow down and reread it. Thank you for making me think.

You bet it's getting cold and the first two months of the year will be worse. Nothing going. Lovely bitesize poem. Yuletide greetings.
