Turning Around

It is to begin with you
It is to lead to love
To then be reasons we knew
To have an end be worth

We did not say our goodbyes
Simply turning around and walking away
Love perhaps never dies
Yet... are there reasons to again begin to say?

And thus with the many nights to begin
I began without you... sleeping alone
Did I miss you enough to have had but dreams?
To only open my eyes to an empty home

Did I forget to tell you the many things?
The many things left unsaid too late
Have we ignored love with its reasonable means?
Yet another game for life well played

What is to lead to love
To be measured by reasons until
Have we a beginning to be worth?
When everything is to begin with you
