Turnin 60
As I begin to fall asleep
I start dreaming
About a room I am
Sitting in
And lots of people
Are laughing,
And children are screaming
Happy birthday
Aunt Charlotte
By my family and friends
All start singing.
What a surprise.
What a joy
For everyone to come
To my 60th birthday party.
It will be fun.
The dream go on as they
Bring out the special cake.
For all of us to eat.
As I sit in my happy
Birthday seat.
To me it feel grand,
It feels like a blessing,
Because in my sixty years
I have endured a few of
God testing.
As my dream go on
Standings in the back
Part of the room,
I see a shadow of my daddy,
And Pat and also Mendysue.
And look it my late husband
Jerry.
Even after death there love
For me they still carry.
As I fell love in this room
These words my daddy
Always said , so I would
Like you all to repeat.
Our Father who Art in Heaven
As we join hands.
First I want to thank you
Lord for this food and family
And friends ,
Who you blessed me with.
Because not all like me is
Lucky enough to have..
