Turn Around

I caught a moment in time, just one tiny breath of air. I held it out, on my hand, and saw such openness there. The whole human race, in play, was right before my eyes. Using lives, at reckless speed, bound up, with endless lies. Needless greed and endless hurt and wave on wave of pain. Engulfing every human soul, in dismal gloom again. From this mist of shadows drear, it came with blade held high. To sanctify our worthless being, then something else, must die. Mans inner scream, had formed this shade, in creeping stealth it came. The pent up grief, and hopelessness, the fiend, without a name. In anger strode this hostile shape, with vengeance, through the knife. One dreadful stroke and yet again, the world had lost a life. I cried out loud, and watched in awe, as all this gloom dissolved. Turn around, breathless still, another scene evolved. I looked again, behold a glimpse, a time within a time. My heart took flight, and soared above, to truth and love divine. I saw an era, of grace and peace, in a charmed and golden land. Where man could live, with man once more, Where hand, reached out for hand. With dreams so vivid and defined, a thought, became a friend. A blissful state, so whole, so wake, this age, will never end. I can only say, I know, that this, shall come to be. I have no proof, except my heart, the essence within me.
