Tumbling Walls

A dying humanity, Broken minds and souls. Steeped with profanity, And ill-gotten goals. Some stuck on stupid, From tales of the past. No modern day Cupid, Can make your love last. Blood, slings, and arrows, Are cast to and fro. Our sympathy narrows, While hostilities grow. A barrage sown with hate, No one can defend. We soon tempt our fate, With an uncertain end. Lest hope springs eternal, We're destined to fall. Just another sad journal, And the death of us all.
