Tsunami

Tsunami By Michelle Morris 19/01/2023 You tried so hard not to rock the boat But instead you became the storm A tsunami of feelings not dealt with Strong enough to destroy everyone Why do we do these things? Why do we keep pushing the feelings down? Why do we struggle with our boundaries? Why do we allow people to push us around? Every time we refuse to deal with things The wheels keep spinning in place Every time we postpone our hurt We get lost in our mind's labyrinth Sometimes you have to rock the boat Sometimes you need to be the storm Not everyone will appreciate your boundaries So, be the tsunami as a warning Ask yourself the right questions Take time to put yourself first Everyone deserves love and honour The opportunity to be light and truth You tried so hard not to rock the boat But instead you became the storm A tsunami of feelings not dealt with Strong enough to destroy everyone Why do we do these things? Why do we keep pushing the feelings down? Why do we struggle with our boundaries? Why do we allow people to push us around? Remember that you deserve love and care Kindness, consideration and respect And if you don't deal with your emotions Your tsunami will hurt your efforts Ask yourself what you truly want Go after what you dream of Stand up for yourself and know That you are a beautiful being of water Embrace your ethereal qualities Feel your soul's infinite worth Allow yourself to expand and grow As a powerful force in the Universe © Michelle Morris, 2023
