Trying To Forget You
Trying to forget your face: your voice
Entangled, constantly thinking of you
I've tried to replace you with someone else
I always come back to you.
Remembering your warm heart: your sweet embrace
Trying to forget your kindness, your charm
You knew how to get to me
You knew how to melt my heart
You broke through my defenses
Whether you knew it or not.
Your name invokes memories I will always treasure
Your face is a face I will always adore
Trying to forget the thought of you
I fall asleep & dream of you.
