Try To Stay Mellow

Try to stay mellow,
It is only your heart,
That she will swallow,
Leaving you missing a part,
With will only to wallow.

Love is a loaded gun,
In the hands of a child,
It may seem as fun,
Until shots ring wild,
And it is time to run.

So why did I try for you?
Because I thought,
That I knew,
The love for which I fought,
Was true.
