Truth Lost

He doesn't love me
Could I be blind?
What of the words
He spoke to mine?

I felt the love,
At least believed,
His words were true.
Was I deceived?

Guarded castles
Surrounding seas,
He masks his heart
And all his needs.

Love in my soul,
Too close you came.
For that, he must
Cast you away.

Your secret truths,
Bestowed to him,
Did he receive
As on a whim?

Commitment lost.
But was his true?
Was love I gave
Misplaced and used?

Come back to me,
O' words of waste,
Refill the void
That I now face.

Foolish heart, is
No pain enough?
For this one, must
You always love?

Forgive me, Soul,
Where loss abides.
Propelled to want
What's now denied.

'Move On', he said.
That I must do.
Beginning again,
I look for truth.
