Truth Behind Every Lie
I can hear you,
I can hear your words.
Pretty feathers don't always
Make pretty birds.
I'm not blind to
What is real?
I was aware of the things
You tried to conceal.
Most times I could
Go with the flow.
Other times it was
Touch and go.
I honed in, I really listened,
No words were spoken.
You tried to hide it,
My heart is broken.
You are judged no matter
What you do.
It works out better,
If you take care of you.
Every time you said something,
You told me I was crazy.
What it is, my heart is,
Achy breaky.
I smile now, I knew
And seen some things.
I knew about your rendezvous,
Your work flings.
Every lie spoke
Some truth.
I knew all about your secret,
sweet tooth.
