Truth

i tell you my love
i speak the truth
you gasp at my words
i see in your eyes
you love me no more
the feeling is most absurd

i told you my love
you heard me not
now the moment has passed
the hatred flows forth
from you unto me
mercy is all that i ask

forgive me my love
i know not what i do
my fault comes with my youth
i told you my love
i love you no more
i told you i speak the truth
