Truly Live
I feel the need to truly live soon
once again in limbo caught in a rut
destiny down the way sings a new tune.
Upon a time, I stared dreamily at the moon
wishing on I knew not exactly what
I feel the need to truly live soon.
Though much too late I broke out of my cocoon
to my life struggle has been much
destiny down the way sings a new tune.
Zestful and to sadness I've become immune
connected with reality and fully in touch
I feel the need to truly live soon.
Finally liberated and naturally wary of loons
they ruined the best part of my days, but
destiny down the way sings a new tune.
A perpetual optimist still full of dreams and such
A determined realist ready to celebrate with balloons
I feel the need to truly live soon
