True To Myself

I am not what you want me to be
I feel very sorry for not being
What you were expecting me to be
I am just me; I am myself.
I want you to look at me as I am
You want me to embody the portrayal you drew for me,
The image that sounds correct to you
But you’ll be disappointed
For I feel very comfortable with who I am
I don’t care If you don’t like what I am
As long as I can recognise myself through the mirror
I am satisfied
I won’t play the game just to please you
You’d better accept me as I am
Because I am not going to change
I will always stray true to myself
