True Story
Am I really your earth revolving around
Your son
I feel too grounded
To know that you saw me
To know you see
That I am here
And I exist
I had this fear
Of failing
My life for you
I wanted to live up to
But I couldn't see through
The past clouded my sight
I didn't know what to do
So I hated and I faked it
To get away
From your persuasion
You pursued me
To be near me
And see who I am
But now I look back
And I'm sorry
I failed you
You didn't fail me
Before you go
I just want you to know
I'm here
So just don't leave me
