True Love

Well im definitely not blessed
Ive just gotten lucky too often
I never give anything my best
But its my heart that you soften

So when you hear the song
Who do you really want to sing it
I dont want to get it wrong
Just know that i will never quit

Ill be the light that shines through
Through those clouds on your dark days
Ill be the wind that gently blew
Blew to cool you down under those hot rays

I could stay right here next to my true love
Until time withers down and takes us away
Then i would look for relief from above
There wouldnt be any more words left to say

Most would say that we re too young to fall
Theyd try to question our feelings and thoughts
Theyd bring weapons and put us against a wall
But me and you would hold hands and face the shots

We say it to eachother now all the time
And i honestly cant get enough
To give this up would be such an awful crime
Love and we can get by without the other stuff
