True Lies

Renegade lover of disturbing truths
Lies, deceit and decrepit denials
Covering the hearts of those that needed proof
Throwing their faith to depart with a power

The physical outweighing our soul’s true worth
The bandaged fighting back before it gets much worse
Playing game upon game with our loved ones hearts
The only way to live is be the one to start

Wholeness is a story in a book of old
Decaying on a stone in a graveyard
The only fight that’s left is to find the gold
Heroes die with each search and plunder

The deserts are just waiting to become a state
The trees were meant to fall because we are their fate
Welcome to the city of the planet earth
The greenery is gone but so is our love’s worth

So obvious and true that we’re a vain cliché
Running from love to become the winter
We’ll never see the infinite because today
We hide and become once more faithless

The towering denial of a corporate plague
The innocent that die because our laws are vague
People joining hate because the light’s denied
One more day of hope is another day of lies
