True Friendship
Love is like true friendship...
It listens when you want to talk
And talks when you're ready to hear.
It comforts when you will ever cry
And cries when you are not near.
It gives when you have any need
And needs what you have within.
It sticks when you feel all alone
And alone is more than kissing kin.
It defends when you have no one's help
And helps when you are weak.
It forgives when you act out in pride
And prides itself in being meek.
It covers your sacred and private keeps
And keeps the keys to your secrets.
It uplifts when you will ever fall down
And falls down to heal your regrets.
