Troubled Time

I miss you more than you will ever know
Through your truest actions, your deepest feelings show.
Years of life don’t seem to matter
Through time I watched our friendship shatter
You said you’d never leave
Those words in which I believed
They turned out to be a lie
Something in which I have to deny
I knew care and caution were the key
But I let my guard down finally
A friendship I hope to reconcile
But our wrongs have us both in denial
Til death due us part were your words
Ones in which this fight laid swords.
