Notes About The Poem

Anacreontic  3 to 5 Syllables per line.  Not for a contest.

Trouble abounds

Just for me,
Sing soulfully.
Your words embrace me.
Why wont you face me?
Your voice haunts me so.
Your eyes all aglow.
Tender lips beckoned.
Stop for a second.
Let me breathe.
You know I must leave.
When I turn to go,
You love me so.
I decide to stay,
You push me away.
Hurtful sounds,
Trouble abounds.
Loving you I ache.
Stirs a heart break.
I gave you my all,
And you watched me fall.
Please sing as I go.
My tear drops won’t show.
My love is strong,
But I don’t belong.
I can’t stay.
I’m your yesterday.
