Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of the beauty in the heavens

Trouble

Gloom absorbs my life There are poor economy and strife Oh! Where can the joy be found? Then I turn my eyes up to the sky I see the birds flying by There exposed God's gifts abound! There are muck and mire Godlessness conspired Then a smile from heaven's child Comes to my mind Then I thank God for the sign If only in my mind!
I posted this one as is on Lulu's in 2009. Times haven't changed much.

truly we love in a gloomy, troubled world. Like your poem suggests, I don't focus on all of that...but rather God's beauty that surrounds me every day. hugs, SAra B

The best idea is to focus on the beauty, Sara B. Sometimes when the news is being broadcast all we hear is the gloom and it can be upsetting. I am not listening to as much here lately. Thank you for your visit and uplifting thoughts. Sara K

I love this! Yes, we will have troubles here on earth, but we look to our hope of heaven! Amen!

Thank you, Kim. For those who have no hope, I don't see how they live. Your comments are appreciated. Sara K
