Trickster

Trickster
~~~~~~~~
Alas I knew him well all of the many faces
From the Angel he professed to be
And the Demon he truly was
Scared, lost, lonely and small
Yet unable to accept a simple truth
God loves us all equally
Sinners and his saints
Life is the only opportunity
To remove the blight and taint
Of ego, bigotry, folly, and self
We never know which breath will be our last
And on that glorious day of judgments
The chance has already passed
Only one stands above us all
Our divine and heavenly father
Yet he chooses to do the bidding
Of the beautiful vain one who has fallen
From celestial opulence and grace
And makes our world such a terrible place
But still I pray daily for your forgiveness
And immortal soul
