Trick Or Treat

Luminaries lining stairs Ghosts and goblins walk in pairs Jack-o-lanterns flaming faces Standing guard on all their places Frantic feet on crunching leaves Only on"All Hallows' Eve" Doorbells dinging: bony witches Offer treats from candy dishes Spooky mansions: quite a sight Haunted yearly, for one night Staying out for just one more Waiting breathless at the door "Trick or Treat!" the end is near See you all again next year
