Tribute To Those That Have Made Such Sacrifices
Tribute To Those That Have Made Such Sacrifices
What red-hot fire could you kindle in beating chest
that would set you above and beyond all the rest?
Would it suffice, to birth glowing embers that burn
away weakness and vices your soul should spurn?
Or embrace love and hope as guardian of your will
to forever your human darkness and frailties kill?
Would your willing hands seek out the weak to aid
sacrifice your wealth and time to never get paid?
Could you walk weary miles on bleeding feet
endure miserable times with very little to eat?
Yet maintain a kind heart and cheerful air
to relieve those sick with deep despair?
Or snatch heavy burdens with eager hands
help them raise their crops on desert lands?
Would your willing hands seek out the weak to aid
sacrifice your wealth and time to never get paid?
What red-hot fire could you kindle in beating chest
that would set you above and beyond all the rest?
Would it suffice, to birth glowing embers that burn
away weakness and vices your soul should spurn?
Or embrace love and hope as guardian of your will
to forever your human darkness and frailties kill?
