Tribute To the Pope

She wishes she was pretty
she wishes she was like you
but she knows that she is no movie star
and there’s nothing she can do

He wishes he was younger
he wishes he was like you
but the years flew by swiftly
and there’s nothing he can do

They wish they had their freedom
they wish that they were like you
but others decide their fate for them
and there’s nothing they can do

We wish that all would listen
we wish they’d be like us
but they want to be themselves
so war we will discuss

John Paul, he sought forgiveness
John Paul, he prayed for peace
so since he prayed for all of us
our quest should never cease
