Tribute to Mama and Papa

Tribute to Mama and Papa

Mama,
I was so sure you would stay with us for another year
Your time at the hospital seemed like those times you checked in and you would check out
This time, you never checked out
Instead you slept
I saw that tear when you could not talk anymore nor open your eyes
It was a tear of departure
I did not want to believe it
But you knew you would depart from this earth
God called you
Though it is hard, I accept because it is GOD who called you
You are in heaven with our Lord and Papa

Mama,
I love you for loving me the way I am
Thank you for being patient with me
Even though I was not your ideal daughter
But you raised me to love respect
You raised me to want to be humble
You raised me to appreciate traditional customs and the past life
Even though you are not with us, I will press on to be the best I can be
I will press on to spread what you have instilled in me
What you and Papa have instilled in us
You and Papa gave us the benefit of the doubt
You and Papa loved us unconditionally
Because God loves all unconditionally
I love you Mama
I love you Papa
I look forward to the day
We shall meet again
We miss and love you Mama and Papa
Thank you Mama and Papa
