Tribute to Connie Francis

Connie, Connie, Connie, you are an inspiration
Your love sick songs a bluesy celebration
Carolina moon making us lonely for our own home town
scattering your love light, you know how to get down

Connie, Connie, Connie, a reflection of the sixties for sure
Your headscarf accentuating a heart so innocent and pure
we can see you in the window singing songs to your man
wishing he would come home, smiling as only he can

Connie, Connie, Connie, gorgeous singer of your time
Words romantic and wistful, one man saying “you’re mine”
Your songs were amazing, your voice rang out so very true
Carolina moon will always seem both upbeat and blue
