Trees

The yew and the oak were talking today How many years have they stood this way They have seen it all they went on to say No kids climb us anymore when they play The ash and the willow were crying today No leaves on their branches on display On the ground is where they started to lay Felt to them they were starting to decay The cedar and palm were happy today Not taken down so that made them okay Maybe it's delaying the inevitable anyway Happens all the time here and faraway
