Treasures of Life
The thread of life we're not given
To understand,
It"s like trying to catch a moonbeam
In your hand.
For life's a gift that all too soon
Will disappear,
Leaving us to face that everlasting
New frontier.
The scales of justice won't render
What we'll ask,
But mercy will be most sought
For vitality"s task.
Your final assessment will be
Determined by sin,
Not how generous or scant
Years have been.
Don't delve unduly on the future
For days go fast,
Only treasures laying up in Heaven
Will surely last.
