Treasures

Treasures

I Took Stock of My Possessions
I Have Acquired While Here on Earth
And Found I Have Great Treasures,
Stored since My Day of Birth.

The First Thing I Discovered,
Was the Power of My Smile.
I Know It's Helped a Few,
As They Traveled Some Painful Miles.

And Then I Found Compassion.
It's Helped Stand Me in Others Shoes
And Understand How They Have Felt,
When They Hurt or Had the Blues.

Another Treasure That I Own,
And this Was a Real Surprise.
I Have What Is Commonly Known.
As the Ability to Compromise.

But the Greatest Treasure of All,
Came with Me at Birth.
It's the Love I Have in My Heart,
That I've Shared While Here on Earth.

My Treasures Are More Precious,
Than Money of Any Kind.
I Can't Give Them to Anyone Else,
Because They Are Uniquely Mine.
