Treasure Hunting Under Your Tent
the children of Israel had sinned in their hearts
by hoarding possessions and not surrendering to God
so Joshua told them the way for them to repent
was to go treasure hunting right under their tents
to search for those things that are hidden from view
and then give back to God all that He is due
in this day of financial hardships and economic down turn
now's not the time to hoard those dollars you have earned
now's not the time to bury possessions under ground
nor to suppress those gifts from God that may turn a life around
for those things that are hidden are not even your own
now's the time to go treasure hunting and give back to the throne
don't let the world hinder you from being a blessing to others
don't let other's opinion stop you from helping your fellow sisters and brothers
for everything that you have comes directly from God
your breathe, your depth, your very being especially your heart
now is the time to completely trust in the Holy Lord
to give of your time, your tithes or your talents
even if it's something you don't think you can afford
it's not about who you owe nor how much money you have in the bank
it's about the blessings God has for you so in advance give Him thanks
and whatever it is you do in life give back to Jehovah Jireh
and be anxious over nothing for He is your soul provider
don't hoard your monies go treasure hunting under your tent
stop stealing from God as He only requires from you a tenth
trust in the Lord that He will always make a way
don't worry about the bills for a blessing will come in time for you to pay
for you only reap in this life what you have sown
and if you don't plant a seed then nothing will grow
there's nothing you can hide from God remove those things that are destructive
be open in your faith and unearth those things that are productive
stay away from worldly concepts that the flesh desires to covet
don't envy what others have find your gifts and then to God just pray
stop looking at others go dig up your own treasures
those gifts and talents from God that are your true measure
it's not about the facade it's about what's underneath
it's about what's in your heart that God desires to see
so what have you buried in life that you no longer even use?
what is under that tent of yours that you're so afraid to lose?
examine yourself, uncover your treasures and then to God repent
and remember to obey Him always and don't worry about paying the rent
