Ode to Love Oh; sweet love of years Oh; mercy of shrunk time left Oh; memory of downy touches The few times we together spent As Schubert’s love serenade Meadow’s daffodils played Rolled in softness of grass Like children; we pretended Hide and seek with no success As I write this ode to love Yes; your precious love Time will never break a glass To a friend I send my bouquet Of kisses; love and nothing less
