Trapped and Conscious

Outside, there is an urgency. Inside, I am in an emergency. This whole time, I’ve been conscious. And secretly being conscientious. But my inhibitions are in vain. They still think I am a strain. I must submit to the spell I am under. Or else they will rattle my cage like thunder. The doctor finds me at fault. I feel hopeless in this vault. I have been banished because of the testimony. Of those who don’t care about autonomy. These strangers treat me as if I am a stray. Time is effective at making my memories fray.
