It was a day like any other
their weary feet bathed in dust, dirt
a burst of light in the sky
Lord, Elijah, Moses
Captured radiance
Peter awestruck 
heart's ablaze
Faith sealed
light

Very nice. Thankyou for commenting on my piece about pain in the night, inspired by Hemmingway's short story A Clean Well-Lighted Place. A similar event to the transfiguration happened at the dedication of the first temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kirtland Ohio in 1837.
