Your unique, left-behind mind…
Kept my head up at night — I find 
What your thoughts are about
Kept inside my house no doubt…

Your secrets with me
So, no regrets, my dear
Concealed like a lost river to the sea

You won’t hear my side of the story
I’m without a fear, but I shed innocence
Just for your vanity’s sake and glory
I’m without a cheer, but I instead reminisce 
Upon brighter days
And how it sways
In our memories

Keeps my heated heart apart
From those that tear it
Wept a-fright I admit
