Train Song

Running out of steam.
Running low on fuel.
Got to feed the fire
Before the engines cool.
There’s no slowing down.
It’s not time to brake.
Got to forge ahead.
There’s too much at stake.

Ever on and up. Staying on the track.
There’s no giving up and I am never going back.
Chugging like that train struggling up the hill.
Trying hard to change from “think I can” to “Yes, I will.”

Everyone has doubts.
Everyone has fears.
They just drag you down.
Jamming up your gears.
Deep within your heart
You can feel the heat.
Keeps you moving on.
Helps you to compete.

Ever on and up. Staying on the track.
There’s no giving up and I am never going back.
Chugging like that train struggling up the hill.
Trying hard to change from “think I can” to “Yes, I will.”

Don’t mean to complain
But it’s getting hard
Pulling all this weight,
Dragging all these cars.
But dwelling on the pain
Only leads to fail.
I’m not made to fly.
I’m not built to sail.

Ever on and up. Staying on the track.
There’s no giving up and I am never going back.
Chugging like that train struggling up the hill.
Trying hard to change from “think I can” to “Yes, I will.”
