Train of Thought

Echoes of a fading day
Sacrifices birthing silent burdens
All alone as the devil prays
Falling from the light I have betrayed

Dreaming of a playful ghost
Reflecting spirits in the pools of blood
Whispering that I never chose
But screaming out that I just should have known

Dying within their tears
Decaying hearts and the judges witness
Everything I’ve wrapped in fear
Skeletons that I must still revere

Running from her nameless reign
Seeking death but escaping weather
The wall I’ve built only makes me sane
I’ve died enough but I need to die again

Kill me now or become my lie
Fading out from tomorrow’s sunshine
Just let me drown but don’t let me die
Please just close your eyes and forget I ever tried
I hope some day I’ll learn to decide
