Trails through Life

Last song is sung
As day is done
Not one has lost
Nobody's won

Moonlight moves off
Awaiting morn
One has now passed
One's to be born

Been no farewells
For those that leave
They take with them
Hearts on their sleeves

Time does not wait
Nor does it heal
For there's no dream
Life will reveal

Poison rides trails
Paved with false gold
Young minds on fire
Suffer through cold

Best you can do
Is walk with friends
It's a surprise
Where the trail ends
