Tragedy

I needed you to see, yet you closed your eyes, there could have been a we, if only you had realised. I merely wanted your care, but instead received your denial, with your heart no longer there, I was left feeling senile. I gave you my time, and a person to cherish, but you drew the line, for my sentiments to perish. I wanted an us, but you wanted a you, so despite the fuss, there was nothing left to do.
