Trading Shoes

See what is like to be me
let's trade shoes
walk a mile in mine
Understand what it means to be me
hatred given generously
its hard to swallow
 Judged by mistakes made
refused advancement because of them
looked down upon by many
There is no quiet place to rest
no room to hide
being normal seems as if a dream
 The hands that are given
only brings me pain
to many I am a number and not a name
 My life means nothing
the masses cover me with dirt
my name is spoken as evil
 Many have written off
believing I'm hellbound
each day is a struggle
 Let's trade shoes
walk a mile in mine
experience the life I live
know the tears I cry
know what is like to be me
