Traces
Traces of you left behind in my head,
you left with nothing to say,
time just makes it worse,
can I make it through another day?
Will I have help if I need it,
for the strength to stay away,
stop the crying and thinking about it,
and just get over you today.
I know I'll never hold you again,
but my feelings will never fade,
all the good times and the bad,
there's not a second I would trade.
Your thoughts of me are short
and most of the time off track,
but my love for you, I'd never take back.
