Toys Come Alive

He goes off to sleep
Not even a peep
When the child’s away
The toys will play:
Trains ride
Cars drive
Books have a read
Dogs ask for a lead
Balls start bouncing
Announcers start announcing
When the child wakes up
Like a bounding pup
The toys fall asleep there and then
Ready to be played with again
