Towers of Grey

He rode in on a promise that built a frail
being a King to the North he tried
all kingdoms of heaven he did mount
to find the maidens hand which he knew

All kingdoms heard the wolfs yell
at the end of the long winter they did fall
the kings brother did fight with contempt
and danced and sang as the soldiers wept

He asked for forgiveness till all hearts cried
looking for the fair haired maiden he knew so well
a Queen she was to be made, on this very night
a promise was broken, said the knights of old

The young man, searched high and low
could not know the battles were plenty
at the Towers of Grey where the widows do lay
the fair haired maiden cries her last tears and prays..

You tell so well the tales of times of old and loves lost.

As knights of old, battles fought and forever told When gallant men fell to the ground life meets it's end Endings forever bloody.. You fine presentation present images of gothic knight battles! Bravo!!!

Sounds Like Edgar Allen Poe's Fair Maiden ? And No One Could Know A Love As This Love Their Love..Inside The Sepulchre She Waits Her Sea; Two Heart's Thus Twined And There Is He; Calling Love's Light While Darkness Abides To Recede, Time's Tides...No, Nay A King Yet She His Queen Shall Awaken From This, Their Dream....Very Nice The Depth Amid Your Lovely Verse....Love, Jeremy *
