Towards Understanding

Let the winds
blow this evening
   We realize 
that we are moving 
     towards 
      understanding
The scent of jasmine and
rosemary
          reaches us tonight
          the troubled world is 
          still there
           but with insight (and only 
with insight)
            we will reach new
parameters of comprehension
         Breathe the perfumed 
air deeply
         When the dark moons 
circle our planet
        and threaten our peace
        well of joy 
        will protect us
only through 
        the spirit can we overcome 
           those forces which threaten 
to destroy us
