Towards Understanding

Let the winds
blow this evening
     We now realize 
that we are moving
       towards 
       understanding
The scent of jasmine and
rosemary
               reaches us
Yes, the troubled world is
       still there
     but with insight(and only 
with insight)
     we will reach new 
parameters of comprhension
         Breathe the perfumed 
air in deeply
          When the dark moons 
circle our planet
        and threaten our peace
        wells of joy 
        will protect us
   only though
           the deepest concentration 
on our inner spirit
      can we overcome 
         those forces which threaten 
to destroy us
